Customer Goods Sales Data Analysis
AtliQ Hardware, a (hypothetical) leading computer hardware producer, realized that they were not gaining enough insights to make intelligent, data-driven decisions, and thus wanted budding data analysts to take up the challenge and provide insights to their 10 ad-hoc requests. Hence, I analyzed AtliQ's consumer sales data to provide them with essential insights into their requests.
Ten ad-hoc questions asked by the company management and their key insights:
1. Atliq Exclusive operates in 8 markets in the APAC region.
2. The percentage of unique product increases in 2021 vs. 2020 is 36.33%.
3. Notebooks, Accessories, and Peripherals were the top 3 segments by unique product count.
4. Accessories and Networking segments had the highest (34) and lowest (3) increase in unique products, respectively, in 2021 vs 2020.
5. AQ HOME Allin1 Gen 2 and AQ Master wired x1 Ms had the highest and lowest manufacturing cost, respectively, among all products.
6. The Top 5 customers who received an average high pre-invoice discount percentage for the fiscal year 2021 and in India are, in descending order, Flipkart, Viveks, Ezone, Croma, and Amazon.
7. The fiscal year (FY) 2021 performed better than FY 2020 in terms of gross sales.
8. In FY 2020, Q1 (Sep-Nov 2019) and Q3 had the maximum and minimum sold quantity of products, respectively.
9. The Retailer channel contributed the most to gross sales (73.23%) in FY 2021.
10. For FY 2021, the top 3 products in the N&S, P&A, and PC divisions were pen drives, mouse, and personal laptops, respectively.
